is what happens when flavorful food & Drink, creative minds, and great vibes merge
Our menu is inspired by American comfort food and street-stalls worldwide. You'll taste the flavors of Mexico, Trinidad, Tunesia, and India. Look for the specials board, we might be serving a bahn mi or a noodle bowl. Food always tastes better with a well-curated beer or an inspired cocktail.
Our not so secret ingredient is our community. Showroom is fueled by great people. On any given night, you’ll probably bump into artists, musicians, designers, and many other brilliant Baltimore creative minds. Showroom’s West Bay has a stage where you might catch a hip-hop showcase, house music dance party, knitting “crafty hour”, local film screening, or comedy open mic night.
Pro Tip #1: Get here early to grab a spot on the couch or the fan favorite: the mid-century modern leather recliner.
We aim to help you have that perfect date night, daytime hangout, meeting space or arts night out. So come down and check us out!
Showroom is easily accessible from the main entrance on 120 W. North Ave. or from the Motor House lobby. We are happy to be part of Baltimore's Station North Arts & Entertainment District.
Pro Tip #2: Head out through the back of entrance of Motor House and experience THE world famous Graffiti Alley!
A long time ago in an arts district far, far away...we opened our doors in October 2017.
Motor House partnered with Pantry Catering‘s founder and Executive Chef, Daniel Horwitz to create a collaborative cafe and bar to serve our community and support the arts district here in Station North.
Our repurposed building is rooted in Baltimore's history. The Motor House was Baltimore's first Ford dealership, then branched out with other brands. Showroom was once the sales floor for the business and the windows have displayed Graham Paige, DeSotos and Nash cars.

Daniel Horwitz is Executive Chef at Showroom Cafe and Bar. He takes this menu and gives it street cred! Bowlsitas pay homage to Trinidad, with a coconut-braised pork with mango salsa; and Morocco, with charred, spiced vegetable tagine, served over a bed of crispy plantain chips.
Stepping away from his Rutgers College education, Daniel explored his passion by apprenticing under Chef Craig Shelton at the Ryland Inn in Whitehouse, NJ. Shelton earned his chops under Wolfgang Puck, David Bouley and Joel Robuchon. Dan time at Ryland Inn included all stations from pastry to poisson. Ryland Inn received the unique distinction of four stars from The New York Times during his time there.
After moving to the Baltimore area, Dan became the executive chef for ZeMean Bean, and then became Catering Chef for Linwood’s. He took a new challenge by opening his own business: Pantry Fine Catering, where his team serves events large and small, including special events at Motor House.
India Nance currently serves as the Cafe Manager for Showroom. She passionately makes sure your visit is wonderful--with good music, pretty plate and delicious food. An unapologetic extrovert, you may find her humming a favorite tune or making you the best latte you've ever had. Don't hesitate to introduce yourself if you'd like. She’d love to meet you, and welcome you back.
“I have always felt a calling to the customer service industry. I truly enjoy being able to brighten someone’s day… even a little.”
NICK LA PORTA
Nick La Porta brings over a decade of experience to the table. Starting out Nick served in college-town bars in California, then took it up a notch to the cocktail-lounge-scene of Seattle. Returning to the east coast, Nick took another step up to tuxedo-clad fine dining in Baltimore's Little Italy.
Fact is, we're glad Nick is here for the Showroom Team, and he's glad to be here too! He believes in the warmth and comfort of hospitality and hopes our food and drink will fully nourish your body and mind.
His skills serve the bar and cafe nicely, but more importantly the team will serve each guest with the warmth and joy that comes from someone who thoroughly loves the work he's doing. Introduce yourself when you are in. Whether you are a regular or first time visitor, he'll make you feel welcome, and will invite you back.

"If only these walls could talk. With its panoramic views of the colorful Howard Street Bridge and the changing Station North landscape, the building at 120 West North Avenue has seen a lot through the years....As guests shimmy their way back and forth between the dance floor and the bar, three letters from the original signage mounted overheard say it all: “F-U-N.”
"Year In Review: The Beat’s top 10 new restaurants of 2017"
"[Showroom] is slinging food from breakfast to lunch most days and have a killer happy hour from Tuesday to Friday (all night on Thursday). The menu is an eclectic mix of international flavors and the bolsitas, which are essentially bags of goodness with a range of flavors from Mexican to Tex-Mex to Mediterranean...."
"This is one cool cafe. At the new Showroom Cafe & Bar, the vibe is hip, and so are the customers. Bottom line: Baltimore’s newest arts cafe is a fun place to hang out, drink and eat, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
